background

This little place is in a valley deep in the mountains. Many of the inns are family businesses. Some of the families are in Theth all year round. The place is surrounded by wonderful mountains. A stream flows through there. Theth is a good starting point for hikes. Some of the walks are well marked. It is possible to hike without a guide.

Buses from Cafe Rusi in Shkodra at 7:00 a.m. The journey takes four hours.

With the taxi

A taxi from Shkodra costs around 100 euros.

In the street

Coming from Shkodra, the road to Theth is not asphalted behind the Terthorja pass, it is narrow and in a very poor condition. It should only be driven on with an off-road vehicle in adverse conditions. This also applies, to a far greater extent, to the road from south to Theth from the Kir valley.
