Neighborhoods
- Saint-Esprit district - Popular in character, the district extends along the northern bank of the river, where the railway station is located, a probable arrival point for those planning a visit to the city of Bayonne
- Grand Bayonne district - Located on the site of the Roman castrum, the district corresponds to the city center. It extends on the southern bank of the river and its center is the place de la Liberté. At one time the area was covered by water channels crossed by commercial canals which today have been buried. The rue du Port-Neuf was located on one of these canals and is surrounded by houses with loggias considered to be among the most beautiful in Bayonne. On the avenue that follows the course of the Nive river, traces of the Roman settlement were found. Another street that offers examples of old houses with wooden decorations and wrought iron balconies is the rue d'Espagne.
- Petit Bayonne neighborhood - Separated from Grand Bayonne by the river Nive, Petit Bayonne is the area where the Basque Museum is located.
