background

Belén lies between the Quebrada de Belén, a ravine north of the city, and the Campo de Belén, one about 10,000 km2 great level.

getting there

By bus

There are direct buses from Buenos Aires, Cordoba and the Patagonian route (Caleta Olivia, Comodoro Rivadavia, Trelew) as well as from Santa María del Yocavil out. Otherwise you have to be in San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca change.

In the street

The best way to get there from Catamarca is via Rutas Nacionales 38 and 60 Aimogasta (Province La Rioja) up to its confluence with the Ruta 40, which then goes over Londres leads to Belén. The route is paved and flat throughout. Instead, a more adventurous route takes you via Ruta Provincial 1 and Andalgaláwhere you can see a mountain landscape (i.a. Nevado del Candado, 5450 m high). This route is a little shorter, but not paved throughout, which is why you need a lot more time.

mobility

A few bus routes and taxis are available. But you can also get along well on foot.
