Leaves is a Swiss Community in Lötschental in the canton Valais.

The village is at the far end of the Lötschental, and it also includes the stable village of Kühmad and the Fafleralp. Blatten is 1540 meters above sea level. Blatten is the fourth village in the Lötschental.

Politically, the community belongs to the Westlich Raron district.

Via Bern-Spiez to Kandersteg, from there car transport through the Lötschberg tunnel to Goppenstein. From there it is only a short distance on the connecting road through the Lötschental to Blatten. From Gampel-Steg a main road leads to Goppenstein and from there into the Lötschental.

From the south via the Rhone Valley motorway from Lausanne or via the canton road from Brig to Gampel / Steg.

From Steg and Goppenstein the well-developed road leads directly into the Lötschental. The road is easy to drive even in winter; winter equipment is required for the months from November to April.

A post bus line (591) runs through the valley and runs at a slightly offset hourly rate. It ends on the Fafleralp in summer and in Blatten in winter.

In summer

Some high mountain tours start on the Fafleralp, one of the classic glacier tours in the Alps. From there it goes either to Jungfraujoch or to the Märielensee / Eggishorn.

The tourist information office of Lötschental Tourismus is located in the municipality of Wiler at the valley station of the Lauchernalp mountain railways and can be reached in 5 minutes by bus 591 from Blatten.
