Borås is a city in Västergötland. It is located 66 kilometers east of Gothenburg and is the capital of the municipality of the same name

Borås was the center of the Swedish textile industry until the 1960s. Today there are only a few manufacturing companies left. However, Borås is still an important trading town today. Almost all major Swedish clothing companies have their headquarters in Borås among others Hemtex and Gina Tricot.
