Have a drink / Go out
It is clear that foreigners are not favored to enter the clubs. In addition, to go out in Gothenburg it is better to be well dressed. Avoid sneakers. The bars and clubs on the avenue are generally more selective. The minimum age is often 25, but it is also often the excuse given when the outfit is not suitable. Usually, well dressed, 18-20 years old is enough. However, it is important to take your identity card wherever you go.
- Diamond dogs On the Avenue – This bar offers a happy hour of 20 h - 23 h, two pressures (or three cans) for the price of one. Well placed to go out later. The music is rather rock there (Diamond Dogs is an album by David Bowie), but we can hear each other talking.
- 1 Sticky fingers Kaserntorget 7, 411 18 Göteborg, Sweden,
46 31 701 00 17 – This time, it is an album of the Rolling Stones which gave its name to this disco. Very popular, it lets in people generally younger than the majority of Gothenburg clubs. It is on three floors. From top to bottom: Electro and house / rock hits, 80s, post punk, and new wave / Hard Rock and metal. The smoking room is at the very bottom. This nightclub is famous for letting in relatively young people, especially on Fridays. In my experience, sometimes people over 23 are given bogus excuses to ask them to leave the club.
- 2 Parklane Kungsportsavenyen 36, 411 36 Gothenburg, Sweden – Surely one of the most beautiful clubs in Gothenburg. Located at the beginning of the avenyn, the music is good there, the minimum age is 23 years old but generally it is not a problem to come back younger if you are a minimum dressed. Admission is 100 sek like everywhere.
- 3 Bersa Kungsportsplatsen 1, 411 10 Göteborg, Sweden,
46 31 711 24 80 – Right next to the kungsportplatsen stop, this bar / nightclub is a useful place to find people on Monday evenings.
- 4 Rock baren Kristinelundsgatan 14 - 411 37 Gothenburg,
46 31 20 48 85 – For lovers of heavy metal / rock of all kinds, this bar is in a street perpendicular to the avenyn and the beer which flows freely is not too expensive there.
- 5 Cafe Olof Motgången 305 - 412 80 Gothenburg (Tram n ° 4, almedal stop (two stops after körsvagen) and go up the stairs to enter the olof residence.) – This bar is open on Wednesday and Sunday, from 5 p.m. In the middle of a student residence, it mainly welcomes Erasmus students. For legal reasons, it does not offer alcoholic drinks. Coffee and tea are free, financed by tips. Cosmopolitan, Café Olof offers many "café language" evenings to discover new languages. Every Sunday, the back room is reserved for amateur musicians and singers.
- 6 The Nefertiti Hvitfeldtsplatsen 6, 411 20 Göteborg, Sweden,
46 31 711 40 76 – This club offers all types of music depending on the evening Electro, Jazz, Rock ... Here the selection is not made on the customers but on the music, always of quality. Some relatively popular groups perform there in concert.
- 7 Gretas bar (Gay bar) Drottninggatan 35, 411 14 Göteborg, Sweden,
46 31 13 69 49
