Bridgeport is a small town in Northeast of Alabama on the Tennessee River. The state border after Tennessee is only a few kilometers away.

getting there
By plane
The one is nearby Chattanooga Airport in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The subsequent drive to Bridgeport takes about 1 hour. And further away the Huntsville International Airport in Huntsville, Alabama, with a drive of around 1:30 hours. Both airports have no direct connections from Europe, but you have to change trains in the States beforehand. The airports are from American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines approached.

The railroad tracks in the city are currently only used for freight traffic.

The Russel Cave is more than 11 kilometers long, some of which can be visited. The cave was inhabited thousands of years ago and evidence of this can be seen at the Gilbert H. Grosvenor Visitor Center. In addition to information, along with a few display boards, there is also a small shop and toilets.
