Budslau (Budsław, Budslav) is a village in the Minsk province, in Belarus, mainly known for the National Shrine of the Mother of God of Budslau.
Understand
Much of the history of the village from the XVI to the XIXe century revolves around the monastery of the Order of Friars Minor (Observant Franciscans). The icon of the Virgin Mary which is now the basis of the monastery's fame was presented by Pope Clement VIII to Jan Pac, a wealthy local nobleman, during the latter's pilgrimage to Rome, who donated it to the monastery .
