Burauen is a city in the Filipino province Leyte (province).
background
Burauen is a typical provincial town. It consists of 77 districts, called Barangays. In the center there are a few shops, internet cafes and at least one bank with an ATM. In some outskirts, mainly coconut cultivation is practiced. Everywhere you can see the coconut meat on the roadside laid out to dry in the sun. The copra obtained in this way is used to produce oil, the remaining press cakes are used as fodder.
getting there
The city is about 45 km from Tacloban away and can be reached quickly and easily by minibuses.
mobility
There are no taxis in the province, internal traffic is handled by tricycle. If you want to return to Tacloban on the same day, you should know that there are no buses after 6 p.m. Ordinary buses are also highly recommended. The value lies in the fact that they are slow and stop frequently, and the panes are pushed up (in good weather) - this allows for a lot of snapshots.
