The egyptian Village Rashid Castle (Arabic:برج رشيد‎, Burǧ Rashīd), also 'Izbat Castle Rashid (Arabic:عزبة برج رشيد‎, ʿIzbat Burǧ Rashīd), is located at Nile Delta on the west bank of the western arm of the Nile, about 7 kilometers north of Rashid. Little is known about the village itself. It is the site of an important fortress in the course of Arab history. In 2006, 15,825 people lived here.[1]
