Bystrzyca Kłodzka(German: Habelschwerdt) is a mountain town in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship at the Glatzer Neisse in the Glatzer Ländchen at the foot of the Habelschwerdter Mountains, a part of the Medium brews. Its location makes the place an important center of tourism in the Glatzer Ländchen. The city is the starting point for hikes in the surrounding mountains.

Glatzer Neisse

The city was in the 13th century on the important trade route from Prague to Gniezno founded. The town received its town charter before 1319. In 1429 the town was destroyed in the Hussite Wars and in 1469 it was plundered by the Hungarians. During the Reformation the place became Lutheran, but in 1628 during the Counter Reformation it was Catholicized. The Swedes destroyed the place again in the Thirty Years War. In 1742/1763 the place came to Prussia. In 1875 the place was connected to the railway network of the Breslau-Glatz railway line. The place continued to develop, with the exception of the times of the world wars. In 1945 he came to Poland.
