History

The village of Bładnice was first mentioned in 1416 in a chancellery document of the Duke of Cieszyn Bolesław. The village was a noble property, incorporated into Nierodzim, the seat of its owner. One of the next owners, Jeremiasz Czamer, in the years 1608-1609 separated part of Nierodzim and Bładnice and gave it to his wife and son. The owners changed frequently in the following years. At the end of the 18th century, they were bought by the Duke of Cieszyn and incorporated into the town Komora Cieszyńska.

During the Reformation, the local population largely adopted a new religion - Lutheranism. In 1787, there were 140 Evangelicals and 53 Catholics in Bładnice Górne.

Bładnice Górne has never been an independent commune, but only a cadastral commune within the borders of Nierodzim, while Bładnice Dolne has been an independent commune until 1945.

In 1900, Bładnice Dolne was an independent commune and Bładnice Górne was part of the Nierodzim commune and was located in the judicial district Bielsko. They were inhabited by a total of 317 people in 40 buildings, all of them were Polish-speaking, 104 (32.8%) were Catholic and 213 (67.2%) were Evangelicals. By 1910, the number of inhabitants had dropped to 291 people, all of them were still Polish-speaking, 91 (31.3%) were Catholic and 200 (68.7%) were Evangelicals (Lutherans)

In 1921, Bładnice Dolne and Nierodzim were within the boundaries of the Cieszyn poviat. In the area of the village, the Evangelical-Augsburg Church carries out pastoral activity, and it is one of the few towns in Poland where only a church other than the Roman Catholic church carries out its pastoral activity.
