Bến Tre is the capital of the province of the same name in Mekong Delta of Vietnam.

There are bus connections from the Cholon and the Minh Thai Bus station in Ho Chi Minh City. Ferry connections exist with Mỹ Tho and the province of V Longnh Long. The ferry out Mỹ Tho stops about 10 kilometers north of the city. The best way to do this route is by moped taxi (Xe ôm).
