Cabins - Cabañas

It is a department in the northern area of The Savior and its header is Sensuntepeque. This region has many nature reserves. The department was named in honor of the Central Americanist Honduran politician General Jose Trinidad Cabañas.

The department of Cabañas is a producer of coffee, sugar cane, grass, sesame, garden plants and fruit growing.

The population of the department is also dedicated to cattle raising, the pottery industry, the manufacture of rigging and dairy products, as well as the export of minerals, in small quantities, among which gold, silver and cobra.
