Cachoeira has an excellent fixed telephone network (operated by Brasil Telecom) and mobile telephony (with cellular networks from Brasil Telecom, Tim, Vivo and Claro). There are also several Lan Houses around the city, ideal for broadband internet access.

Safety

There is only one emergency department in the city, located in Bairro Rio Branco, and three other police stations, one of which specializes in crimes against women, children and adolescents.
