THE Cappadocia (in Turkish: Kapadokya) is a region of Turkey. It is known for its unique lunar landscape, its subterranean cities that sheltered the ancient Christians, as well as its rock-cut houses and churches.

Urgup, in turn, has hotels and the structure to receive larger groups or people who prefer less basic accommodation. Nevsehir is further away from the most visited tourist spots, but it is a big city and also offers alternative accommodation and transport to and from the region.
