Cartagena or Cartagena de Indias (in Spanish : Cartagena de Indias) is a city of Colombia located north on the coast of Caribbean and classified in Unesco heritage.

Cartagena is located in the north of the country, on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, today the city is visited by tourists from all countries. In high season, and in December, Easter usually causes a large influx of Colombian and foreign tourists.
The city is basically divided into two parts, that of the fortified colonial city, a magical and happy place, with high class restaurants, clubs, bars, small colonial hotels, and that of Bocagrande more reserved, both traditional and modern, town with a large area of sea view, with crowded beaches during the high season. The bistros and pastry shops are generally welcoming places. In Colombia, like everywhere else, avoid carrying valuables that are too obvious, have little money on you, avoid taking out your wallet, prepare your tickets in a pocket.
