Chojna (speak keuna), formerly Koenigsberg in the Neumark, is a city in western Poland. The beginnings go back to the 10th century. The town charter was granted after 1200. Since 1270 the city belonged to the Electorate of Brandenburg, from 1701 to the Kingdom of Prussia. Königsberg (Neumark) had been the district town since 1809. 80% destroyed in World War II, the city came after 1945 as Chojna to Poland.
