- Ab Rossaveal exists Ferry connection to the Aran Islands (For detailed information see there). Here are some tips on how to get to Rossaveal:
- Rossaveal is about 1 km southwest of the R 336, 33 km west of the city Galway, 50 km west of Galway Airport.
- Galway can be reached by train Dublin in 2 3/4 hours. There are no direct connections from other cities with ferry ports to Great Britain or continental Europe. There is a direct bus connection between Galway and Rossaveal, approximately 1 1/4 hours. The ferry service also offers a bus connection.
- In the summer months, Galway Airport is served from Amsterdam, among others, and from Manchester and Cork all year round. The bus ride to Rossaveal via Galway takes about two hours.
- From Connemara Regional Airport there is a flight connection (scheduled service) to the Aran Islands (and only there) (for detailed information see there). Charter flights can also be arranged, e.g. panoramic flights to the Cliffs of Moher. The airfield is located near the village of Inverin, 20 km west of Galway city and 35 km west of Galway Airport. There is the same bus route as the one to Rossaveal.
