Diego Rivera Anahuacalli Museum (house of the Anahuac)
  • Diego Rivera Museum / Anahuacalli. Built entirely with volcanic stone, its design includes pre-Hispanic features. It exhibits pre-Columbian pieces and here is also the artist's studio with drawings and paintings.
  • Leon Trotsky Museum. It is the old house of the Russian ideologue, preserving its original furniture.
  • Risco House Museum. It exhibits European paintings from the 14th to the 17th centuries.
  • Soumaya Museum. It displays an interesting art collection that includes sculptures by Augusto Rodin.
  • Frida Kahlo Museum. Located in what used to be the artist's house, it exhibits works of art and the way she and Diego Rivera lived.
  • National Museum of Interventions. It is a museum where it deals with the maximum interventions and has: Throughout ten rooms, the visitor finds a clear explanation of the historical processes and armed interventions in Mexico during the 19th and 20th centuries. Independence, the Spanish intervention of 1829, the French interventions of 1838-1839 (the “War of the Cakes”) and 1862-1867, as well as the American ones of 1846-1848, 1914 and 1916 are addressed above all. It also has an important collection of sacred art from the 17th to the 18th centuries. In April 2002, the kitchen of the Former Convent of Churubusco was opened to the public, and in April 2006 the Don Gastón García Cantú multipurpose room and the El Catalejo de la Historia consultation center were inaugurated, offering visitors the possibility to get closer to the knowledge of the history of Mexico through books, brochures, videos and sound discs. In parallel, the old bath and the conventual refectory were opened; in this last space there are two archaeological coves, and floors, sinks and two bays from the seventeenth century. It is located on the streets of 20 de Agosto and General Anaya, s / n, San Diego Churubusco.
