Ceret is a municipality and a sub-prefecture of Eastern Pyrenees in France.
Understand
Céret is a small town of 7,600 inhabitants marking the entrance to Vallespir, the foothills of the Pyrenees and the southernmost valley in mainland France. It is also a sub-prefecture of the Pyrénées-Orientales. The town borders Spain with the Massif des Salines.

The part of the collections of XXe century offers works by Picasso, Chagall, Matisse, etc. The upstairs section shows the most recent collections of contemporary art. The museum also organizes temporary exhibitions.
