Danish phrasebook - Dansk parlör

This page is one phrasebook .

Danish is a language mainly spoken in Denmark, but also on Faroe Islands and Greenland, and i Schleswig-Holstein in North Germany.

Written Danish is often very easy to understand for a Swede, but spoken Danish can be a problem. For a Swedish tourist who is only going to Denmark for a short time, it is no use trying to acquire some deeper knowledge of the language; if it does not work with Swedish, it usually works English (refers to people between about 15-65 years).

If, on the other hand, you are going to stay there for a long time, or meet people you know do not speak English, or just want to try "living Danish life", some words and phrases can be very good to know.
