Dörverden is a municipality in the district of Verden, federal state Lower Saxony. Dörverden is located on the old "Heerstrasse through the great march" in the Weser-Aller triangle, south of the city of Verden.

background

Dörverden is a bicycle-friendly community and has various well-signposted cycling and hiking trails. There are connections to the Weser cycle path and the Aller long-distance cycle path, as well as circular routes and themed cycle paths.

While the Weser can be crossed using the hydroelectric power station built in 1914, there is a solar-powered wooden ferry on the Aller. A characteristic of this region is the agriculture with asparagus cultivation and many other regional and fresh products, which are offered for sale directly at the producer.
