Elm Lappwald Nature Park located in Lower Saxony. The Elm-Lappwald Nature Park is located in southwest Lower Saxony, east of Braunschweig in the center of Germany. It is known from the wooded hills of the Elm, Lappwald and Dorm as well as the region as Helmstedter Mulde.

Elm Lappwald is in Lower Saxony, in the "Middle North" of Germany, between Braunschweig and Magdeburg, Hanover and Berlin. The Elm is the largest and most attractive beech forest in northern Germany. Among the diverse landscapes of the nature parks are large forest areas, moors, springs, lakes, heaths, salt marshes and chalk that are rich in plant species. The park is home to over 800 species of flora, more than 10% of which are endangered. Birds, mammals and amphibians also come in abundance in the nature reserves habitats. The Reitling valley in the Elm and the Brunnen valley in the Lappwald have been described as "idyllic"
