Archéa Epídavros, Ancient Epidaurus, is an extensive site with excavations from ancient times.
The large theatre, with its great acoustics, is impressive. The center of this theater is located at coordinates N 27 O 35.768', E 023 O 04.756'. The other excavations are also interesting to look at. Beautiful statues and pieces of facade can be found in the on-site museum.
When visiting with younger children, it is recommended to prepare the children with an exciting story about the god Asclepius, the role of the city as a place of pilgrimage for the sick and the building that housed the sacred snakes.
