The 1 Finsterwalde station is located approx. 500 m north of the center on the Leipzig-Falkenberg-Cottbus railway line. Regional express trains from Leipzig-Cottbus run every two hours, alternating with two-hour regional trains Falkenberg-Cottbus, which overlap at almost hourly intervals. The next long-distance traffic stop is one and a half hours away in Leipzig.
