Fischbach bei Dahn is located in the southernmost part of the Palatinate Forest on the border with France. The place is considered to be one of the most remote places in Germany, and not just for drivers. In a state-wide study, Fischbach near Dahn had the worst relief time of all municipalities in Rhineland-Palatinate - the ambulance service and the police are sometimes on the move for over an hour just to get here.
The long journey is definitely rewarded with untouched nature and good hiking infrastructure.
