getting there

mobility

  • The railway lines mentioned are available for journeys within the Palatinate Forest. They are supplemented by some regional bus routes, which are, however, less suitable on weekends. There are also individual call line taxi systems. For example, on working days (Mon-Fri) there are acceptable connections between Bad Bergzabern above Dahn to Pirmasens and from there over Wallhalben to Landstuhl
  • The most important highways within and on the edge of the Palatinate Forest are the A6 motorways between Grünstadt and Landstuhlwho have favourited A 62 between Landstuhl and Pirmasenswho have favourited B 10 between Landau in the Palatinate and Pirmasens. The other roads are often only passable at reduced speed due to inclines and curves and some bottlenecks. Nevertheless, you can reach all places within the Palatinate Forest on a day trip.
