Bad Dürkheim is on the German Wine Route at the transition from the Upper Rhine Plain to the Palatinate Forest. Next major cities are Neustadt an der Weinstrasse (direct rail connection), Ludwigshafen on the Rhine and Mannheim (Connection with the RHB).

The districts of Seebach, Hardenburg and Ungstein belong to Bad Dürkheim.
