activities
- In September the Sausage market, the largest wine festival in the world. In addition to the tasting of over 300 wines and sparkling wines in the “Schubkärchlern”, a large fair is also a great attraction. Around 600,000 visitors are expected to enjoy around a quarter of a million liters of wine. The market has little to do with sausage, and the origin of the name is unclear. The name has been in use since 1832 and could go back to the enormous sausage consumption at that time
