Flinders Island is an island in the Bass Strait between Tasmania and Victoria in south-eastern Australia. It is the largest of the 78 islands in the Furneaux Group Of Islands. It is one of two Bass Strait islands (the other being King Island) that are open for everyday tourism, with scheduled air connections to the mainland.

- Sharp Airlines fly at least daily connecting Flinders Island to Launceston and Essendon in Melbourne. Essendon is a smaller airport in the north of Melbourne, so please allow sufficient time for connections.
If you are travelling in a group, then private charter may work out cheaper and more flexible.
By ship
- Furneaux Freight operates a service from Bridport to Lady Barron Port, Flinders Island. This takes around 8 hours and as of July 2019, it costs $75 one way, or $125 return. It occurs at least once a week, normally leaving Bridport on a Monday and returning on Tuesday. A schedule is on the website, but times can be changed at short notice. It is possible to transport cars, motorbikes, bicycles, etc., but you will have to pay a fee. To make a booking, you will have to email or call the office. Contact details are on the website.
