By train

Birmingham International Railway Station is near the airport and has frequent connections to and from the city center London. The journey takes between 9 and 17 minutes, depending on the train. There are three rail companies that operate trains between Birmingham New Street station and the airport. With the ticket you either have the option of buying a ticket for £ 3.40 which is valid for all companies, or you can buy one from Virgin for only £ 2.40 which is only valid for the Virgin trains (as of 11/2013). Should you continue to drive, there is also the possibility of purchasing day tickets, etc.

In the street

The airport is across the highway M42 and over the federal road A45 to reach.

Airlines and Destinations

From Birmingham there are several direct flight connections to German-speaking countries, for example:

There are restaurants and shops at the airport both before and after security checks. After the security check, the prices (for airport level) are still okay. There are also many so-called meal deals in front of which consist of a sandwich / salad drink dessert.

It is a bit impractical that there is nothing directly at the gates.
