The Kharkiv airport (ukr: Міжнародний аеропорт "Харків"), is located in the Kominternivski district in the south of the ukrainian city Kharkiv.

The Kharkiv International Airport was built around 1950 and initially named after Joseph Stalin, the then general secretary of the CPSU. In connection with the European Football Championship in 2012, it was significantly expanded and modernized.
