Fort Myers Beach is a city in the southern outskirts Fort Myers. The urban area includes the islands Estero Island, San Carlos Island and a stretch of mainland left and right of San Carlos Boulevard. Fort Myers begins north of Summerlin Road.
Fort Myers Beach is a pure resort town with beach hotels on Estero Island, and thousands of mostly tiny private trailer parks and weekend homes further north, many of them on canals so owners can drop their boats into the water right on the property.

There are two attractive mini golf courses on the mainland part of the city:

The offshoot of the is located on the immediately north neighboring San Carlos Island at 1200 Main Street Key West Express, a car ferry that takes 3½ to 4½ hours to the island Key West reached. Only the toughest do this tour in a single day. If you want it to be less stressful, plan an overnight stay on Key West.
