Free court is a community in Main-Kinzig district in South Hessethat already belongs to the Vorspessart. It consists of the districts 1 Altenmittlau, 2 Bernbach, 3 Horbach, 4 News and 5 Somborn.
background
Freigericht lies in the transition from the Kinzig valley to the Spessart. While the north of the municipality is still quite flat, the south is already mountainous. Especially in Horbach as a state-approved resort, the Spessart tourism also plays a not insignificant role.
The area of today's municipality used to belong to Kurmainz, which is why the place is strongly Catholic with Catholic parish churches in all five districts. Today, Freigericht is mainly a residential community for commuters in the Rhine-Main area, but also offers some shopping opportunities.
