Worth seeing
The main monument of the city is the Cathedral of Our Lady (Unserer Lieben Frau) from the beginning of the 13th century, considered a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, with a romanesque transept, tower (116 m) with a stone, octagonal, completely openwork tracery dome. a three-nave basilica with a wreath of chapels, numerous sculptures and an altar inside, the work of Hans Baldung. Gothic churches also deserve attention: St. Martin (St. Martin), St. Michael (St. Michael), the town hall, houses and palaces (16th – 17th centuries). A relatively new, but unique building is the Church of Two Denominations (Protestant-Catholic) consecrated in 2004, made of concrete prefabricated elements with high energy standards. The strict aesthetics of the building's body meant that the church was called a bunker of God.
