Colmar is a city ofAlsace.
To know
Considered one of the prettiest cities inAlsace, Colmar has a historic center with old houses decorated in wood and balconies invariably overflowing with geranium flowers which give it a more German than French aspect. The heavy damage suffered during the Second World War has been completely obliterated and its buildings have been restored all too well following the original scheme.
The city lies in the Rhine valley 17 km from the river and near the Vosges hills whose slopes are covered by vineyards.
