The mountainous landscape lies between the Apuan Alps and the Apennines and is traversed by the Serchio River. - Barga: The one lying on a hill Old town, conveys the former wealth of the city with the cathedral and the proud palazzi Barga . The old town itself is worth seeing as a whole.
- The Romanesque 1 Dom was built between the 9th and 15th centuries. The simple facade is interrupted by the finely crafted relief depicting the grape harvest. Inside there is a beautifully decorated marble pulpit from the 13th century.
