Gdansk (Gdańsk) [1] is a city of 456,000 inhabitants In Poland. Together with the port city Gdynian and a beach resort Sopotit forms a ‘Triple City’ (Trojan).

By plane
Wizz Air [2] fly From Turku To Gdansk 3-4 times a week. There are no direct flights from Helsinki, but you can fly on LOTs Warsaw through.
Gdańsk Airport is about 15 km from the city center. A taxi ride to the city center costs about PLN 50, an airport bus 10, or a public bus less than 5.
By train
From Gdansk there are good train connections to the rest of Poland. The journey from Warsaw takes less than 5 hours. Railway station (Gdansk Glowny) is located on the northern edge of the Old Town, and some trains continue to Sopot and Gdynia.
By boat
Finnlines offers direct access to Gdynia from Helsinki and onwards To Rostock 2-3 times a week. The transition from the port of Gdynia to Gdansk is possible, for example, by the SKM local train; the nearest train station is Gdynia Stocznia, which is about 600 meters walk from the port shuttle bus. The price of a train ticket will be 5 zlotys and can be purchased at the station kiosk.
There are also ship connections e.g. From Copenhagen (Denmark) and From Nynäshamn (Sweden), as well as to Gdynia Karlskronasta (Swedish).
