The Golden Horseshoe is a region centered around the city of Toronto and developed along Lake Ontario.

Fort Erie - It was the first fort built by the British as part of the defensive network built after the Seven Years War, which ended after the Treaty of Paris in 1763 today a national historic site. It is located south of the town of the same name, not far from Niagara Falls.
