The Golden Horseshoe is a region centered around the city of Toronto and developed along Lake Ontario.
Territories and tourist destinations
- Toronto metropolitan area - Located along the shores of Lake Ontario, from Oshawa (east) to Burlington (west), with Toronto in the middle.
- Niagara Peninsula - Bounded to the north by the Ontario logo, to the east by the Niagara River and to the south by Lake Erie, also includes Niagara Falls and part of Hamilton.
Urban centers
- Brampton - A city of the new suburbs with a well preserved center.
- Burlington - Beautiful city in expansion and popular with tourists. It houses the Royal Botanic Gardens, the largest botanical gardens in Canada.
- Hamilton - Port city bordering the Toronto metropolitan area, renowned for its manufacturing industry, but also notable for medical research, art and film.
- Mississauga - City immediately west of Toronto. It includes several generations of suburban homes centered around historic villages.
- Niagara Falls - A small town straddling the border between Canada is USA overlooking the ravenous waterfalls and with tourist facilities centered on them.
- Niagara-on-the-Lake - Called "the prettiest city in Canada".
- Oakville
- Toronto - The largest city in Canada, and the economic and cultural center of the Golden Horseshoe.

- Fort Erie - It was the first fort built by the British as part of the defensive network built after the Seven Years War, which ended after the Treaty of Paris in 1763 today a national historic site. It is located south of the town of the same name, not far from Niagara Falls.
