Gorenjska (Eng. Oberkrain) is a region of Slovenia.
The Gorenjska region is mountainous: the Karavanke ridge runs to the north and the Karavanke range to the west Julian Alps, in the eastern part the Kamniker Alps. Only towards the south-east does it become flatter and open to the wide Ljubljana basin.
