- Windmills - e.g. B. the windmill "Onken" in Westgroßefehn, which is not far from the Fehnmuseum Eiland.
- 1 Fehnmuseum Eiland, Leerer Landstrasse 59, 26629 Großefehn. Tel.: 49 (0)49 45 - 219, Email: [email protected]. The museum provides information about the history of the peat bog development due to peat extraction.
- From the Fehnmuseum you can walk about a kilometer through the meadows to the Fehntjer Tief nature reserve to stroll.
