From Gränna you can get to the largest island on Lake Vättern Visingsö. Two car ferries commute between Visingsö and Gränna every 30 minutes. Payment is made on the ferry, which costs 165 SEK there and back (July 2012). There is also a pure passenger ferry. In the Swedish holiday season (mid-May - end of August) you have to be prepared for long waiting times.
Visingsö offers a number of sights to be discovered. We recommend visiting the southern tip with the Näs ruin and the Visingsborg.
