Rooster clover is a district of Goslar in the Upper Harz in Niedersachsen.

Hahnenklee is a popular holiday destination in the Upper Harz. Up to 450,000 guests visit the between Goslar and Clausthal-Zellerfeld located small town with its district Bockswiese annually, which is certainly also the special attraction of the Stave church contributes.

Gustav Adolf Stave Church
  • The Stave church von Hahnenklee was opened in 1908 after just 10 months of construction. It is clearly reminiscent of that Norwegian Stave churches, not only in their external form, but also in many interior elements that are based on elements from the Viking Age. This construction method was chosen deliberately, because at that time the urgently desired new church was wanted to fit as well as possible into the nature of the Upper Harz. Externally, the church represents a rather free replica of the stave church in Borgund The building stands between Hahnenklee and Bockswiese.
