  • 1 Jailolo  – Small port serving the villages and islands off the west coast
  • 2 Tobelo  – Small town of about 10,000 inhabitants, located near an oil terminal of the Pertamina company. Despite everything, Kupa-Kupa beach is clean. There are beautiful corals there for snorkeling.

  • 1 Aketajawe-Lolobata National Park  – The park consists of 167,300 hectares rainforest. It is home to 23 endemic bird species north of the Moluccas, including Semioptera wallacii, Halcyon funebris, Oracina parvula and Oriolus phaeochromus, and also Habroptila wallacii. The park is also home to a semi-nomadic population, the Tobelo Dalam, whose traditional way of life is threatened by the cutting of forests to create settlements and plantations.
