Helsingör (Danish: Elsinore) [1] is a coastal town in the north Zealand in Denmark. Helsingör has frequent ferry connections across the Sound to Helsingborg on the Swedish side.

Getting to Elsinore
Öresund trains run from many stations in Skåne directly over the Öresund Bridge via Copenhagen to the terminus in Elsinore.
Car ferries depart every 15 minutes from HelsingborgAlternatively, you drive from Malmö and over the Öresund Bridge.
The Helsingborg-Helsingör route is one of Europe's busiest ferry routes with departures every fifteen minutes with Scandlines and once an hour with Sundsbussarna. The crossing takes about minutes. Cars can only travel with Scandlines.

- Kronborg Castle. [4] The plot of Shakespeare's Hamlet takes place here. In a vault in the castle's basement corridors is a statue of the dormant Holger Danske. The castle is open to visitors, guided tours are held in Danish and English. The castle is set up on UNESCO World Heritage List.
- The old town. Picturesque small town environment with a lot of shops.
- Öresund Aquarium[5], Strandpromenaden 5. A small but charming saltwater aquarium that shows the wildlife in the Sound.
