In the street

The B4, which crosses the Harz from north to south, runs through Hohegeiß.

Coming from the north, drive from the A 7 via the Rhüden exit onto the B82 Goslar to Bad Harzburg, from there on the B4 over Braunlage to Hohegeiß.

Coming from the south you leave the A38 at Nordhausen and follows the B4 north.

By bicycle

The Iron Curtain Trail (EuroVelo 13) runs along the former border strip through Hohegeiß.

On foot

Hikers on the Harzer Grenzweg come through the village.

  • The border trail 1 (Started) leads through Hohegeiß. The 20 km long trail of medium difficulty connects Hohegeiß with Concern and Benneckenstein and also offers a connection to the border trail 2 Rothesütte-Sophienhof-Benneckenstein.
