Hohwachter Bay - Hohwachter Bucht

The Hohwachter Bay is part of the Holstein Baltic Sea coast and extends between Kiel Fjord and Heiligenhafen. The terminal moraine landscape merges into the south Holstein Switzerland.

  • Panker - Worth seeing property in the hinterland of the bay and thus a popular excursion destination.
  • Hohenfelde
  • Luetjenburg - Small town in the hinterland of the bay with a nice, cozy (Fach) old town in the clinker style. Lütjenburg is also a regional supply center with supermarkets, medical practices, etc.

By car: Choose the A1 from Hamburg via Lübeck to Neustadt in Holstein for your journey. You can leave the Neustadt / Nord, Lensahn or Oldenburg-Holstein autobahns and then get to Hohwacht Bay via Kaköhl on the B202.

By train: The nearest train stations are Plön, Oldenburg in Holstein or Kiel. From there there are bus connections to Lütjenburg.
