Ikeda (yep: 池田 町 -chō) is a community in Miyoshi County in the prefecture Tokushima in Japan. On March 1, 2006, it became part of the newly founded city Miyoshi.
background
The village is located on the Yoshino-gawa River, and in the interior of Shōdoshima Island. About 10 kilometers upstream from the center is the Koboke Gorge, as well as the Tsurugi San Quasi National Park with the Iya Gorge to the west.
getting there
The station Awa Ikeda is on the Dosan railway line that of Takamatsu above Kochi after leads Wakai. In Awa Ikeda, the Tokushima railway line branches off from this line Tokushima Important inland roads also lead through Ikeda. From west to east this is road 192 and the Tokushima Expressway (highway) which replaces the 192 on this section. The road 192 leads from Kawanoe to Mima and on to Tokushima. And from north to south, road 32 that from the highway that comes over the Sento-ohashi bridge continues south and over Kothari, Ikeda reached. It continues to the south Koboke and Oboke to Otoyo where it joins the motorway to Kochi again.
