Irún - Irún

Irún is a city in Basque Country in Spain, right on the border with France. The city's fame comes from the fact that it is an exchange point for travelers coming from France to Madrid and other Spanish cities, because Spanish train tracks are wider.

To know

Irún is often ignored by tourists, who pass over it quickly changing trains. Instead, the city has a population of 55,200 and is a commercial and industrial center (for the production of paper and leather products). It is located on the Bidassoa River, next to the Atlantic coast.
