Itinga is a city in the countryside of Minas Gerais, at the Jequitinhonha Valley. It has great natural beauty, mineral and cultural wealth.

As in the interior of Minas Gerais, Itinga's climate is hot most of the year. The hottest months are August and September, while the month with the highest rainfall is December.
